The Risk Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining an effective risk management framework to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks across the organization. The role ensures that risk exposures are managed within the approved risk appetite while supporting business growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sound governance practices. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a background in risk management, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to implement effective risk management strategies for BNPL.

- Develop and maintain the organization's risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report risks across all business activities, products, and functions.
- Prepare and maintain the corporate risk register and risk maps, including risk ratings and mitigation plans.
- Establish and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and early warning indicators, reporting significant risk exposures to senior management and relevant committees.
- Identify and assess operational risks specific to the BNPL product across all business units and functions involved in the BNPL process.
- Analyze credit risk exposures across customer segments and financing portfolios, providing independent risk assessments and recommendations to support informed credit decisions, and participate in the credit approval process for designated financing segments
- Work closely with BNPL business units to coordinate and ensure timely resolution of identified risks and issues, providing support for implementing new or enhanced controls.
- Review and assess risks associated with new products, services, systems, and business initiatives.
- Prepare periodic risk reports and present key findings, recommendations, and risk trends to senior management, the Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.
- Support the implementation of decisions and recommendations issued by the Risk Committee and other governance bodies.
- Promote risk awareness throughout the organization by providing guidance, training, and support to employees.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements, industry developments, and best practices in risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, or Credit Certificate are preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, or related fields within banks, fintech companies, BNPL providers, or non-banking financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, governance principles, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques, frameworks, Basel 3, and mitigation strategies within a BNPL or lending context.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Good command of computer systems and risk management tools.
