Fold Health
Responsibilities:
Integration Lead – Healthcare Data & Automation
Location: Pune
Experience: 8+ years
Employment Type: Full-time, In-office
Domain: Healthcare Technology / Value-Based Care
About Fold Health
Fold Health is building an AI-powered operating layer for value-based care — unifying data, workflows, and intelligence across healthcare organizations.
Our platform enables seamless interoperability between EHRs, CRMs, claims systems, HIEs, and AI/analytics engines — helping providers, payers, and care teams deliver better outcomes at lower costs.
We’re redefining healthcare interoperability by combining modern APIs, FHIR-based data models, and intelligent automation (RPA + AI). Join us to build the integration fabric that powers the next generation of healthcare delivery.
Role Overview
As the Integration Lead, you’ll architect and scale Fold’s interoperability layer — connecting diverse healthcare systems, payers, and data sources into one cohesive data fabric.
You’ll lead the design and implementation of cloud-native integrations, RPA workflows, and real-time data exchanges that power patient 360s, AI-driven insights, and care coordination.
This role blends deep healthcare integration expertise with a modern automation mindset — ideal for someone who can think beyond interfaces and architect an intelligent, scalable ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of high-performance, cloud-native integration pipelines across diverse healthcare systems (EHRs, claims, labs, CRM, patient engagement, wearables).
- Build and maintain FHIR-based APIs, HL7 listeners, and webhooks using tools like Mirth Connect, Airbyte, AWS Lambda, and n8n.
- Implement bidirectional data exchange with EHRs (Elation, eCW, athenahealth, Epic, Cerner, NextGen, etc.) and 3rd-party services using REST, GraphQL, and secure messaging protocols.
- Collaborate with data and AI teams to ensure integrations feed into Fold’s data fabric and AI agents.
- Design and deploy RPA-driven workflows (e.g., UiPath, Python/Selenium, or n8n automations) to interface with systems lacking APIs or HL7/FHIR endpoints.
- Integrate data from legacy portals, fax systems, and PDFs using OCR/NLP pipelines for ingestion into the Fold Data Fabric.
- Partner with AI and data science teams to transform unstructured data (documents, notes, scanned forms) into standardized, actionable formats.
- Establish robust data validation, transformation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy, lineage, and reliability.
- Maintain HIPAA, PHI/PII, and SOC2-compliant practices with secure credential management and audit trails.
- Implement observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver to monitor integration performance.
- Work closely with the Product, Data, and AI/LLM teams to translate clinical and operational requirements into technical integration workflows.
- Collaborate with customer engineering to deliver configurable integration templates that can be reused across clients.
- Define integration best practices, documentation, and playbooks for the engineering org.
- Lead and mentor integration engineers to establish reusable patterns and frameworks.
- Continuously optimize cost, performance, and reliability of the integration layer.
Must Have:
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare integrations, interoperability, or health data platforms.
- Deep understanding of HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI, CCD/CCDA, and related data models.
- Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect, Airbyte, AWS Lambda, or similar middleware/integration tools.
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for scripting, APIs, and data transformation (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Familiarity with EHR APIs and integrations (eCW, Epic, Cerner, NextGen, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA security, OAuth2, and role-based access models.
- Proven experience designing high-volume, low-latency integrations on cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
Why Join Us?
