Purpose of Job
- To supervise the Data capture team (technical support, assigning tasks, and ensuring the following plan and targets).
- Coordinate with office if any support is required (IT, Technology, operations support divisions)
- Completing the project as per set targets.
- Daily reporting of progress.
- Carry-out the work as per the set standards and practices of Data capturing operations.
- Representing and coordinating with client at site. “Immensa representative at site”.
- Operating laser & light scanners, measuring tools, PMI portable equipment, hardness testers.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee data capturing operations at site locations, ensuring adherence to IMMENSA Standards of Practices.
- Supervise and operate part identification, scanning, and annotation stations.
- Capture all required data, dimensions, and features of mechanical components and assemblies for reverse engineering and digital replication.
- Ensure accurate operation and maintenance of various scanning technologies,
- Applying the correct scanning techniques based on part types (e.g., impellers, cages, seats, plugs, nozzles).
- Utilize and oversee measurement tools for precise data collection.
- Identify material properties, hardness, and thread types of mechanical parts.
- Oversee the creation of annotation files, ensuring all critical features are accurately highlighted.
- Conduct final inspection of all captured data before submission to the design team.
- Manage and maintain structured data handling within data management platforms.
- Ensure compliance with inspection software and quality control procedures.
- Report any challenges or concerns promptly to the direct supervisor.
- Coordinate and execute data capture operations in remote areas and client locations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the design team when needed.
- Oversee and assist in the creation of 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of spare parts. Operating in remote areas and client location.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed university. Or equivalent degree.
- Knowledge and experience in reverse engineering & functional components CAD Design
- Knowledge and experience in dimensional measurements and drafting 2D manufacturing engineering drawings.
- Experience in engineering and modelling software.
- Skilled in reading and generating components manufacturing drawings.
- Problem solving skills to counter issues in advance.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated, self-starter and fast learner able to take direction from multiple sources.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment with pressure and tight deadlines
