Role Overview
We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator / Programmer, reporting to the Production Manager, responsible for operating and programming CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Main Responsibilities
- Owner of projects with 80% machining scope of work.
- Owner of machines (Lathe Panther, EDM GF+, CNC Milling SunMill) as a programmer/operator.
- Act as a backup machine operator for Puma SMX 2600S.
- Execute the respective machine operations & maintenance plans as per Immensa internal procedures (IMM-PRO-10 & IMM-PRO-11).
- File the details in traveller, machine log & maintenance log as required.
- Develop a Manufacturing Process Specification (MPS) aligned with customer requirements for owned projects.
- Define tooling requirements.
- Document/maintain the record of the project files inclusive of design files, 2D drawings, MPS's for owned projects.
- Assist estimation team with estimation for machining enquiries.
- Track actual project costs to identify the gaps of estimation for owned projects.
- Once job completed, hand over the traveller and parts to the next responsible person as per traveller.
- Report the deviations to production manager to take the necessary dispositions actions and file it in the defect log as per Immensa internal procedure.
- Regularly monitor the health of assigned machines & communicate any anomalies to production manager.
- Maintain 5S to sustain the clean & safe environment.
- Comply with safety instructions against shopfloor hazards and keep others safe as well.
- Report the incidents and near misses to reporting manager and quality department for the sake of risk minimization.
Scope of Authority / Accountabilities
- Strict adherence to the Company's QHSE Standards.
- Operate strictly within the Company ISO Framework.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certificate in CNC machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience operating and programming (3 axis Milling & Lathe CNC) or (5 axis CNC) or (Balancing) machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of G-code and other programming languages.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming software.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines for working with CNC machines.
