Job purpose:
At Paymob, we are looking for a high-performing Merchant Acquisition Team Lead to drive the growth of our merchant portfolio by leading a team of ambitious sales professionals focused on acquiring high-volume merchants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing acquisition strategies, managing team performance, coaching sales representatives, and ensuring the achievement of business growth targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Merchant Acquisition, or Account Management.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience leading a sales team.
  • Experience in Fintech, Banking, Payments, FMCG, Telecom, or a fast-paced sales environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of merchant acquisition and B2B sales cycles.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Merchant Acquisition Executives to achieve acquisition targets.
  • Develop and execute acquisition strategies focused on high-volume and strategic merchants.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Conduct regular field visits and support team members during merchant meetings and negotiations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments to accelerate merchant growth.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Analyze sales performance data and prepare performance reports.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success.
  • Ensure accurate pipeline management and CRM updates.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent within the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in acquisition processes and sales effectiveness.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Paymob's products, services, and competitive landscape.
