The Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for managing daily reconciliation processes, ensuring transactions are accurately matched, discrepancies are resolved, and financial records are maintained accurately and on time.

Job purpose:
The Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for managing daily reconciliation processes, ensuring transactions are accurately matched, discrepancies are resolved, and financial records are maintained accurately and on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily reconciliation of transactions across internal systems, bank statements, payment gateways, and other financial platforms.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, mismatches, and outstanding transactions.
- Monitor settlement transactions and ensure they are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Prepare reconciliation reports and highlight unresolved issues or variances.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Technology, and other relevant teams to investigate and resolve transaction-related issues.
- Communicate with banks, payment partners, and other external stakeholders when required.
- Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities, adjustments, and outstanding items.
- Support month-end closing activities and provide required reconciliation reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and reconciliation procedures.
- Identify recurring reconciliation issues and suggest process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle large volumes of financial data while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in reconciliation, finance operations, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and financial transaction flows.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or payment industry is highly preferred.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
