Project Manager, Bank Programmes
Operations
Jeddah Saudi Arabia
Job Description
Tarabut is the Middle East's regulated open banking platform, licensed by SAMA in Saudi Arabia, the CBUAE in the UAE and the CBB in Bahrain. We connect banks, lenders and fintechs to financial data and payments infrastructure, and we're building embedded finance distribution across the region, including our SME lending business in Saudi Arabia.
We're hiring a Project Manager to run our bank programmes in the Kingdom. You'll run two to three of our most important programmes at once, partnering with tier-1 Saudi banks to get products to market quickly. You'll work across stakeholders from the C-suite to integration managers, own the client relationships, and work with our product and commercial teams to grow those accounts.
This role is based in Jeddah, reports to the Chief Strategy Officer, and involves regular travel to Riyadh and Bahrain.
What you'll do
- Own the plan for each programme: milestones, dependencies, decisions and risks, in one place people actually use
- Own the relationship: be the person the bank calls first
- Run the weekly rhythm with bank counterparties: working groups, steercos, minutes, and actions that close
- Get into the detail when things slip, and stay with it until it moves
- Spot expansion inside live programmes and turn it into scoped follow-on work
- Manage approval-linked milestones and go-live gates with our compliance team
- Surface risk early and arrive with options
Your first 90 days
- One programme plan and weekly cadence live and adopted by every counterparty
- The first bank milestone you inherit delivered on its date
- A RAID log both sides trust more than their inbox
Requirements
Essential
- You have at least 6 years in project or programme management, including at least 4 years delivering with banks or financial institutions in Saudi Arabia
- You have held senior client relationships and grown an account, not just administered a plan
- You are proactive to the point of hands-on, and when a workstream stalls you get into the detail and move it, whatever the org chart says
- You bring people with you, and internal and client teams follow your cadence because it works, not because it is mandated
- You understand core systems, APIs and integration delivery well enough to test an estimate and spot slippage a month before it lands
- Arabic is a must, and fluent English is strongly preferred
- You are based in Jeddah or ready to relocate
Nice to have
- Delivery experience with banks elsewhere in the GCC
- Open banking, lending or payments domain experience
- Relationships inside GCC banks that you built and kept
- You are fluent with AI tooling and current on what the latest LLMs can and cannot do, using them to run programmes faster while knowing when output needs a human pass
- Experience taking a regulated product through go-live with SAMA or CBB supervised institutions
