As a Senior Data Protection Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the organization's data protection strategy, ensuring compliance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and international privacy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Privacy Platform Administration & Utilization
- Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of the Data platform across diverse data environments.
- Design and implement Data Privacy custom correlation sets, policies, and classification rules specific to KSA requirements (e.g., National ID numbers, SAMA-defined financial data).
- Manage and optimize scanning operations to ensure comprehensive data discovery and classification across all company systems.
- Facilitate the technical integration of Data Privacy with key enterprise platforms .Install, configure, and maintain the Data Privacy platform, including upgrades, patches, and system tuning.
- Manage Data Privacy connectors and integrations with data sources (structured, unstructured, and on-cloud).
- Oversee access management, role-based permissions, and user administration.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize scan schedules and resources.
- Operate and maintain the Data Privacy platform as a core privacy and data discovery tool.
- Configure data classification, discovery scans, and sensitive data policies across structured and unstructured environments.
- Manage and optimize data source connectors (cloud, SaaS) for continuous visibility.Generate risk and compliance dashboards for privacy, audit, and governance reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and Security to resolve data exposure or policy violations identified through Data Privacy.
- Install, configure, and maintain the Data Privacy platform, including upgrades, patches, and system tuning.
- Manage Data Privacy connectors and integrations with data sources (structured, unstructured, on-prem, and cloud).
- Oversee access management, role-based permissions, and user administration.
2-Compliance & Privacy Operations:
- Serve as the technical lead for Data Subject Rights (DSR) fulfillment, utilizing Data Privacy’s Privacy Portal and correlation engine to automate data retrieval and secure output delivery.
- Manage and maintain the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) repository, ensuring data lineage and processing details are accurately documented in Data Privacy.
- Provide technical support for Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) by supplying automated data inventory and risk reports.
3- Data Protection & Privacy Operations
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of data protection policies, procedures, and controls aligned with legal and regulatory frameworks (KSA,UAE PDPL,DIFC,GDPR, etc.).
- Manage Data Subject Rights (DSR/DSAR) requests and coordinate responses using Data Privacy Privacy Portal.
- Conduct and review Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Data Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA), and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIA) using Data Privacy workflows.
- Support the Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) management and ensure accuracy
4. Data Security & Risk Management
- Integrate Data Privacy Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) features to identify and mitigate risks such as overexposure, misconfigurations, and unencrypted sensitive data.
- Work with Security and Cloud teams to remediate high-risk datasets and enforce data minimization.Support incident response and data breach management with data visibility insights from Data Privacy.
- Develop and maintain data risk heatmaps, exposure reports, and compliance metrics.
5. Data Governance & Compliance Frameworks
- Support the development and execution of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
- Ensure alignment between privacy, data governance, and information security programs.
- Collaborate with business units to promote privacy-by-design and data protection-by-default practices.
- Contribute to internal audits, awareness training, and compliance reporting.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong Hands-on experience with Data Privacy (privacy and data discovery modules).
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations: KSA,UAE PDPL, DIFC,GDPR,, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or data governance.
- Experience conducting DPIAs, TIAs, and ROPAs using privacy management tools.
- Working knowledge of data security principles, cloud data protection, and risk management frameworks.
- Proficiency with data mapping, classification, and remediation workflows.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Data Privacy Certified Professional / Data Privacy Administrator Certification.
- Certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/E, CDPSE, or ISO 27701 Lead Implementer.
- Experience integrating Data Privacy with DLP, IAM, or GRC systems.
- Understanding of AI security and data governance frameworks.
